About Quality Peer Solutions

Dedicated to quality. Founded by physicians, for physicians.

An independent peer review organization delivering objective, evidence-based clinical evaluations to healthcare organizations, independent practitioners, insurers and legal professionals.

Our purpose

Strengthening the quality and safety of care.

Our purpose is to strengthen the quality and safety of care, support fair and defensible decision-making, and provide actionable insights that drive better outcomes — while ensuring compliance, enhancing provider performance, and promoting trust and transparency across healthcare, legal and payer organizations.

With a national network of more than 400 trained, independent, board-certified and actively practicing providers, we deliver timely, specialty-matched reviews across all areas of medicine. Each case is carefully assigned to the appropriate expert to ensure accuracy, credibility and meaningful results.

We work closely with each client to determine the most effective review approach, offering clear guidance and seamless coordination throughout the process.

Why peer review matters

A cornerstone of accountable healthcare.

Physician speaking with a patient

Peer review balances the independence of physicians' clinical judgment with the responsibility to ensure care is delivered wisely, safely, and in alignment with evidence-based standards. More than a compliance requirement, it is both an educational and quality improvement process — identifying potential issues early, guiding re-education, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Conducted effectively, peer review strengthens patient safety, validates clinical decisions, and ensures care is appropriate, necessary and consistent with best practices. It gives organizations an objective mechanism to evaluate physician performance, identify systemic challenges, and improve documentation, care coordination and overall quality.

Health plans benefit from objective evaluations that keep medical necessity determinations fair, defensible and cost-conscious. Legal professionals gain unbiased insight into standards of care, treatment decisions and outcomes. For healthcare organizations, peer review reinforces accreditation and regulatory compliance while protecting against liability.

Ultimately, the value of peer review lies in its ability to strengthen trust — among patients, providers, payers and regulators.
